Pick a Card, Any Card - Online Gambling Tricks

Author: roger

Gambling is only a risky business for those people playing solely to win money. For those of us who've been getting our YA-YAs out for years and years at both land-based casinos and now online casinos, and are familiar with the fundamental tricks of the gambling trade, the winning's been easy. Virtually guaranteed, in fact. That's not to say we, the immoral majority of gamblers, have not been losing money along the way. We have. And thus things have been going according to plan.

"WHAT?!" you're probably asking. Who in their right mind sets out to lose money?

Well, obviously no one commences wagering on roulette, craps, video poker, or any other game with the 'intent' of losing money. Most clued-in gamblers simply understand the fact that the odds of winning are stacked against the players. Of the top 10 rules all bettors should follow is that, before setting out to stake money at an online casino or poker room - online or off - decide exactly how much money your are prepared to lose. After all, your primary goal should be to enjoy yourself as you would say if you were attending a live football game. It doesn't matter whether your team wins or loses the game. You're still out the money you paid for tickets. (Unless you also happen to be into sports wagering and bet on your own team to lose in which case you deserve to choke on a hot dog.)

Gambler's Plan A

Granted, most people who engage in gambling games do so with the hope (and prayers) of someday scoring a megabuck jackpot or winning one of the hugely popular poker tournaments, or both. But not as though their livelihoods depended on it!! After all, the act of 'playing' casino or poker 'games' is just that; an act of god-forbidden fun, unlike 'playing' the stock market which is about as much fun as. choking on a hot dog, for example. Betting on the stocks may be exciting and a form of gambling, but you won't hear anyone referring to it as 'gaming.' It's all about winning and nothing at all about how you play the game. So remember, Plan A is to have fun!

Gambler's Plan B

Refer to Plan A. Or stop gambling with real money and take up needlepoint or something. Simply put: If it ain't fun, you're done.

The Casino - No house of cards

Players win and lose. Casinos earn. In other words, the 'house' is not at risk of losing money like you are. Still, all players would be wise to pay special attention to the certain gambling fundamentals, including:

1. With particular regard to online casinos, make certain you're playing at a reputable venue

2. Educate yourself as much as possible about the game(s) you intend on playing (and having fun with).

3. Determine how much time you are going to devote to each gambling session.

4. Avoid alcohol and/or drug use. Both can lead to depression.

5. Take regular breaks so that you remain alert. Remember, snooze you lose.

6. Treat gambling as a type of entertainment and you'll always be a winner!
